The 74MTM aerostat
system developed for the U.S. Government in support of Cruise Missile Defense Program is the world's first quickly relocatable large aerostat. It combines over 3 decades of technological advancements and operational experience with a newly developed mobile mooring system. Easily deployed, the 74MTM allows high-altitude continuous coverage for surveillance and communications to be quickly established and coordinated over a very large service area. With an overall length of 74 meters, a hull volume of 19,000 cubic meters and 70 kVA of available payload power, the 74MTM can provide an impressive array of vital services.
With its enormous payload bay and powered tether system,
the 74MTM easily accommodates today's high-power, long-range radars that provide continuous detection and tracking of surface targets and low flying aircraft.
