Ground Systems Manufacturing Facility

Our 23,600 square foot Ground Systems Manufacturing Facility stands on 4.6 acres of land and is located less than seven miles from the hangar complex. It has a 20-ft high bay section and heavy-duty overhead cranes. This is for the assembly, testing, and integration of ground winch and mooring systems equipment to support the TCOM family of aerostats. Efficient material handling equipment supports the movement of large and small structures. Hydraulic subsystems are assembled, tested, and installed. Electrical and instrumentation equipment are integrated and tested prior to installation. Adequate storage, staging, packaging, and shipment logistics are available and the plant is serviced by the Chesapeake and Albemarle Railroad, which runs along the rear property line.
